𝐄𝐗𝐏𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒

This is the story of my high expectations from the people I respect. And how I allowed my disappointments and unmet expectations affect my service to God

We were working on something edifying

Something that bring glory to GOD

Before the success

We were all excited about what God is doing

Though we didn’t have much

We were very supportive of each other

We were celebrating the little things,

Milestones that we reach

And we were praising God for it

And we were trusting God for something better

We wanted to be able to reach thousands

For Jesus Christ

With his message of love, faith and hope

We wanted to be able to reach thousands for Christ. With his message of love, faith and hope

We keep sowing seeds mornings, afternoons, nights

Every opportunities we have

And like King Solomon advised (Ecclesiastes 11)

Spread your seeds everywhere

Because you don’t which God will bless.

Well, we did in many ways and areas

And then God answered our prayers

In a way we never anticipated

And all of a sudden

Just like the day of Pentecost (Acts 2) when

One sermon brought 3000 souls to the church

In this case, we’re able to reach over 10,000 souls

And daily God keeps adding to the Church

Those that needed to be saved

All glory to Jesus.

And then God answered our prayers

In a way we never anticipated

Now I was greatly astonished

And couldn’t believe what I’m seeing

And like the little Rhoda at the door of the gate

When the angels intervened & rescued Peter

I ran to tell the “praying brethren” of the Miracle (Acts 12)

And the reaction was seemingly numb

Which is what’s to be expected

When a miracle of this nature happens unexpectedly.

And the reaction was seemingly numb

But I took it to heart instead of acting like Rhoda

I was expecting everyone to be sharing this miracle

Like some praise party or something to thank God

I was expecting everyone to be sharing this miracle

Everywhere seems quiet like nothing happens

When I get to share the testimony

It was drawing attentions to me

Instead of God that gave the harvest

And when I try redirecting to team effort

It seems like a plan to seek attractions.

So I figured out the best is to step aside

And this really affected the my service to God

I foolishly allowed my expectations

From people to affect my service to God

I foolishly allowed my expectations from people to affect my service to God

But thanks be to Jesus for RESTORATION

Now, this is the conclusion of the matter

Lower your expectations from people

Allow humans to be humans

You be you

Focus on doing what God called you to do

And do not allow anyone’s attitude

Affect your service to God.

YOU BE YOU

Focus on doing what God called you to do

AND DO NOT ALLOW ANYONE’S ATTITUDE

TO AFFECT YOUR SERVICE TO GOD.
